WA Surf, incorporating West Oz Kiteboarding, offers a comprehensive 6-day kiteboarding course in the beautiful surroundings of Greater Perth, Western Australia. This all-inclusive experience is designed to take you from the basics to confidently riding upwind.
On your first day, you''ll learn the fundamentals of setup, safety, launching/landing, water recovery, and flying a trainer kite. As you progress, you''ll move on to a 4-line inflatable kite and start bodydragging with the kite in the water. With a maximum of two students per instructor for the initial theory-heavy session, you can expect personalized attention before transitioning to private tuition in the water.
As you become comfortable in the water, you''ll be introduced to the board and focus on getting up and riding as quickly as possible. With the help of helmet communication, your instructor will be in constant contact with you, providing guidance and support. The ultimate goal is to help you ride upwind, allowing you to set up at the beach, head out, and return to your starting point.
By the end of the course, you''ll receive an IKO card, indicating your skill level and enabling you to hire kiteboarding equipment worldwide.
