Delve into the authentic Australian outback experience with Katherine Outback Experience, located in the beautiful region of Darwin & Top End, NT. This cultural heritage tour offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of a stockman or stockwoman on a remote cattle station.
As part of this guided cultural tour, you''ll get an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the farm, including hands-on feeding of the animals. The cultural immersion tour continues with a working dog training session, where you''ll learn how to train these intelligent animals to round up cattle or sheep. Then, put your new skills to the test by training a working dog yourself.
The cultural exploration tour also includes a horse starting and training demonstration using a young wild horse. Experience the thrill of witnessing the transformation of a wild horse into a trained animal, a true testament to the stockman''s skills.
As a cherry on top, you''ll have the opportunity to hold some baby farm animals and chat with the Katherine Outback Experience team. This is a perfect chance to learn more about the cultural significance of farming in Australia and the important role it plays in our cultural landmarks tours.
This cultural sightseeing tour is available Monday to Saturday by appointment, from 9am to 5pm. Closed-in shoes are required, and the minimum age for this experience is 5 years.
