Old Kempton Distillery, located in the historic Dysart House in the Greater Hobart region of Tasmania, offers a unique experience for spirit enthusiasts. Since November 2015, they have been producing a variety of spirits, including single malt whisky, gin, liqueurs, and special releases, all made with 100% Tasmanian ingredients.

Your fully guided tour begins with a short history of Dysart House and an overview of the distillation process. You'll then have the opportunity to go behind the scenes, visiting the distillery and bond store, where maturing whisky and barrels of different shapes and sizes are stored. Keep your eyes peeled for any ghostly apparitions, as part of the house's history includes ghost stories.

The tour concludes with a guided tasting of a variety of Old Kempton Distillery products in their stunning Cask Lounge, located in the grand coaching inn that is the Old Kempton cellar door. Lunch is available daily and includes local Tasmanian produce antipasto platters, Devonshire tea, and daily specials. Cocktails, coffee, and other tastings are also available.
