Sydney Photographic Workshops offers a beginner''s digital SLR or mirrorless photography course in Sydney, Australia. This 4-hour workshop is ideal for those interested in learning the fundamentals of digital photography, serving as a perfect refresher or an opportunity to practice under the guidance of a professional photographer.

The course takes place on various Saturday afternoons throughout the year, with adjusted hours during daylight saving time. The workshop covers topics such as understanding your camera, lens selection, shooting modes, focus techniques, aperture and shutter priority, controlling color, ISO, compositional tips, and shooting in manual mode. The course is designed to help you develop your photographic ''eye'' and understand how to work with different lighting conditions.

This workshop is suitable for beginners with no prior photography knowledge, but not suitable for compact cameras without full manual mode. You will need to bring your camera, lenses, memory card, camera manual, and dress comfortably. The course price includes 4 hours of tuition with an award-winning professional photographer.
