Fast Water Rafting

Dwellingup Adventures, a trusted partner of We Wander, offers thrilling self-guided fast water rafting experiences on the Murray River in Western Australia''s Greater Perth. From May 2023, bookings are available for this unique adventure that lets you explore the river at your own pace.

Your journey begins at the Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre, where you''ll be fitted with safety equipment and follow a guide to the start point in your own vehicle. Dwellingup Adventures will transport you to the starting location, pointing out river features along the way. You''ll spend hours navigating small rapids, fast-moving channels, and wide pools before reaching the finish point at Bobs Crossing.

Suitable for all fitness levels and recommended for ages 6 and up, this self-guided tour operates daily from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm. Tours include transfers, rafts, paddles, personal flotation devices, water sport helmets, and a map. Please note that lane Poole Reserve entry fees are not included in the tour cost.

Prepare for your rafting experience by wearing appropriate clothing—preferably non-cotton materials—and bringing a change of clothes, water, and food. Dwellingup Adventures also offers thermal wear packages for hire if needed.

River levels depend on natural rainfall patterns, and Dwellingup Adventures will inform you if water levels are unsuitable. The Murray River section from Yarragil to Bobs Crossing is generally suitable for beginner paddlers, and parents will determine the suitability of their own children.

Dwellingup Adventures provides a basic safety brief and a river brief during transportation to the raft start. Emergency phone numbers are available in the park for any unforeseen circumstances.
