Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse, located in the stunning Margaret River region of Western Australia, offers a unique and inspiring nature tour experience that takes you on a journey through maritime history. As the tallest lighthouse on mainland Australia, it stands as a beacon of beauty and strength, still operational today and guiding vessels safely through the treacherous Cape.
This guided nature tour is a must-see attraction for anyone seeking to explore the great outdoors and learn about the unique wildlife and ecosystems of Australia. The lighthouse, built from local limestone in 1895, offers a glimpse into the past and a chance to appreciate the natural wonders of the area.
As part of the Cape to Cape Track, the lighthouse is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife, making it an ideal location for nature exploration and outdoor tours. Visitors can take part in guided nature walks, eco tours, and wildlife tours, all of which offer a chance to connect with nature and learn about the unique flora and fauna of the area.
The Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse experience, offered through our partner Capes Foundation Caves and Lighthouses Experiences, is a perfect example of the kind of authentic, inspiring experiences that We Wander offers to our community. We are proud to partner with them and provide our customers with the opportunity to explore and connect with the natural beauty of Australia.

Fully guided tours run every half hour from 9.00am to 4.30pm, with tower tours lasting 30 minutes. Please note that children under 4 years old are not permitted to climb the lighthouse, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
In addition to the lighthouse tour, visitors can also enjoy a bite to eat at the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse Cafe, making this a perfect day out for the whole family.
